At the core of Cat Babies is compassionate, practical action. We support catch / spay / neuter/ release (TNR) programs to prevent unwanted litters and reduce long term hardship for outdoor and feral cats. TNR is one of the most effective, humane ways to stabilize cat populations: cats are safely trapped, sterilized, vaccinated when possible, and returned to their territory where they already know how to survive, while no longer contributing to the cycle of kittens born into hunger and danger.
Cat Babies is focused on survival support, especially during harsh Canadian winters. Feral cats face freezing temperatures, starvation, and illness when resources are scarce. Cat Babies is raising funds for food support, shelter supplies, and winter ready solutions, including insulated outdoor shelters, straw bedding, heated bowls where appropriate, and emergency aid for caregivers who are already doing the work on the ground. Keeping feral cats fed and sheltered doesn’t just help cats; it reduces risky scavenging behaviors, prevents disease spread, and supports a more balanced relationship between animals, neighbourhoods, and local habitats.
